Types of tanning lotions available and descriptions of each:

Accelerators: help the skin achieve a longer lasting, deeper tan by providing key nutrients and moisturizers specifically designed for tanning.

Bronzers: tanning lotions enhanced with cosmetic bronze color to help achieve immediate results. Some include DHA, a sunless tanning agent, that temporarily provides added color to the skin for up to one week.

Tingles: also referred to as "hot action", "warming" or "sizzle" on labels. These tanning lotions include ingredients that increase circulation just below the surface of the skin, increasing its ability to achieve deeper tanning results. They have a temporary warming and reddening effect on the skin and are recommended for advanced tanners only. Some include bronzers as well.

Coolants: tanning lotions which often use menthol based ingredients to produce a cooling effect, keeping the skin feeling refreshed during a tanning session. Some include bronzers as well.
